OUR INDEPENDENCE

Support the work. Not the outcome.

PrimaryBrief uses direct, clearly identified site sponsorships instead of programmatic advertising. A sponsor message is financial support for the newsroom, not a news story, an endorsement or evidence for a claim.

An editorial firewall

Sponsorship does not buy story selection, favorable coverage, advance access, editorial approval or the suppression of reporting. Sponsors have no role in our evidence checks or publication decisions. We do not sell sponsored journalism disguised as independent reporting.

Visible, separate and named

Sponsor messages carry the sponsor's name and a disclosure, separate from headlines, article text and citations. Commercial copy is never presented as a primary record. Sponsorships require newsroom review before activation; sponsorship of an organization does not imply endorsement of its claims.

No ad networks or behavioral targeting

Our sponsorship placements are text-only. They do not load ad-network scripts, tracking pixels or personalized advertising. Sponsor links go directly to their destination without a PrimaryBrief click-tracking redirect. The sponsor's own privacy policy applies after you leave our site.

Accountability

Relevant financial conflicts should be disclosed in reporting. Corrections and evidence standards apply regardless of who funds us. Optional, consent-based site analytics measure placement categories, not reader identities, and sponsors are not given access to reader accounts.
